Passed away peacefully at Spencer House, Orillia on Tuesday March 7, 2017 at the age of 85, formerly of Waubaushene. Beloved husband of the late Lena (October 1991). Loving dad of Helen Zonneveld (John) of Toronto, Kevin Mackey (Charlene) of Waubaushene and the late Billy Mackey (January 2017). Dear father-in-law of Wendy of Fesserton. Loved papa of Stacey, Paula, Britney, Jonathan, Spencer, and Lena. Predeceased by his sister Martha Culligan. Dear uncle of Mark, Paul, Carol, and the late John. Will be fondly remembered by his family and by his many friends. John was a retired Tool & Die Maker from Toronto, former owner of the Edgewater Trailer Park, Port Severn, and a long time school bus driver. The family will honour his life with a visitation at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John’s R.C. Church, Waubaushene on Wednesday March 15th at 11am. Spring interment St. John’s R.C. Cemetery, Waubaushene. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of John may be made to Spencer House and may be made through the funeral home.
