Obituary of Tony Newton

Passed away peacefully at his home in Port Severn on Wednesday March 15, 2017 at the age of 69. He was born in Manchester, England and moved to Canada in 1979 but remained a fan of Manchester Union soccer. Tony enjoyed his retirement with his loving wife, Julia Manning, on Six Mile Lake where he was actively involved in the snowmobile and boating clubs. He devoted his time to helping friends build cottages and enjoying social life on the lake. Tony is survived by his mother, Pamela Newton and his children; Adrian, Suzanne, Helen, Richard, and Robert. Following cremation, Tony’s Celebration will be held at the Baxter Ward Community Centre on Saturday May 27th from 1-4pm. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in memory of Tony may be sent to a charity of your choice, and may be made through the funeral home.
