Obituary of Christopher Blake MacKay

Our family is deeply saddened by the sudden death of our loving son, brother, and uncle, Christopher Blake MacKay, at age 49 on January 19, 2026 in Coldwater, Ontario.

Beloved partner of Joe Hermann, loving son of David and Linda MacKay, loving brother of Bob Mitchell and Kelly MacKay, loving uncle of Riley & Tye Mitchell, Lauren & Devan Bidmead. Also many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

We will miss Chris’ quick wit, charismatic personality, his laughter and the warm hugs he gave us. He enjoyed family times at the cottage. Some of his favourite things to do were playing games, watching sunsets and hiking. We deeply feel he has found the peace he was seeking. Our love and memories of Chris will always be with us.

Chris requested cremation. There will be no service, a private family gathering to take place later in the year.
