I count myself lucky to have had the chance to get to know Janet as she and my sister Sue were such close friends for so many years.
Over the years, Janet knitted me quirky items for my birthday that she and Sue would come up with. I am the proud owner of a "brain toque", white and pink bunny slippers, and other fun gifts.
Janet made the best peanut butter squares and chocolate turtles and Al and I were often gifted some at Christmas. Janet and I always loved to send each other funny birthday cards as well.
I will miss Janet who was always there for Sue and many others whenever she could be of help. She was a very kind, caring woman who fought cancer with so much strength and courage. I admire her greatly and will miss her wicked sense of humour.
My heart goes out to all of her family and friends who will greatly miss this amazing woman.

I am heartbroken to say goodbye to my dearest friend of over 30 years. Some friendships are woven so deeply into our lives that they will never fade, and you were my constant through every trial and every joy. No matter what the situation, we could always find laughter to share. Even in the face of so much, your courage and faith was nothing short of inspiring. I will miss you more than words can say, but I will carry your light with me always. Thank you for a lifetime of friendship and love.

Our condolences to Janet’s family,
You can be very proud of your Mother and the positive impact she has left on the Matchedash community. She will always be remembered as a caring, gentle person who gave selflessly to her community and church.
Fond memories flood my mind when l think of how many eager children attended her Sunday school classes and Janet eagerly greeting everyone. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Respectfully Micheal, Susan Plue and family.
