Obituary of Kathleen Beatrice "Kathy" Barron
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland on Monday June 8, 2026 at the age of 79.
Treasured wife and best friend of 57 years to Ian Barron of Coldwater. Cherished Mum of Kelly Barron (Frederick Dugan), and predeceased by her daughter Holly (1993). Loved nana of Brooke Himburg (James), Skye Kellert (Jordan), and Somerrain MacCuaig (Eric). Adored great nana of Josephine, Quentin, Tobias, Piper, Cruze, Killian, and Holly. Predeceased by her siblings Earlene, Jack, Danny, and Bonnie. Will be missed by her brother-in-law George. Dear Auntie of Lorie, Kimmy, Tony and Callum (predeceased). Kathy will be missed by friends, family and longtime friend Grace.
The family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Georgian Bay General Hospital, especially to April Silk for the care and support shown to Kathy.
Kathy requested to be cremated, and her family will celebrate her life at the Coldwater Legion, Coldwater on Friday June 26th from 1-4pm. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #270, Coldwater will honour Kathy as a Life Member of the Auxiliary at 1pm.
As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Kathy may be made to the Coldwater Food Bank and may be made through the Funeral Home.
