Obituary of Judith Lynn "Judy" Stubbs
Judy Stubbs, born in Hamilton, Ontario on March 4, 1949 passed away on August 23, 2026 in Honey Harbour, Ontario at the age of 77.
A passionate educator, school leader, and published Canadian author, Judy devoted 33 years to enriching young minds. Career milestones included teaching and serving as principal in the Guelph area, leaving a legacy of mentorship, academic encouragement, and dedication to student literacy.
Beyond leadership in the school system, Judy was an accomplished writer of children’s fantasy literature, publishing titles including Giants from the Sky (1980), Terror of the Cocoons (1983), and The Wizards of Bellmore Castle. Judy’s creative works inspired young readers and contributed meaningfully to Canadian juvenile fiction.
Predeceased by her parents James Allison and Elizabeth Allison, and sisters Pat, Bobby and Ginny. Survived and remembered by her husband Gary Stubbs, her children Randy Stubbs and Christine Stubbs, and by her grandchildren Wilder, Caullen, Fisher, Rachel, Harry and Eric.
She will be missed by all and will live in the hearts of all that knew her. Thanks to everyone who sent their condolences and we hope there is a little spark that will continue to glow in your memory as you make your way through the travels of life.
