Howard was one of a kind! He worked hard and played hard. He loved to dance, and dance he did. 5 wonderful children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. What a legacy he has left.
As we say Howard was "Country Strong".
His memories will live on in everyone he touched.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Howard. He was a lifelong friend of ours and acted as the best man in our wedding nearly 65 years ago. Howard was a hard-working farmer and drover, who along with his cherished wife Peggy, raised five children. He was a cherished husband, father, and great grandfather, friend, and neighbour- who had a sparkle in his eye and a sense of humour that would make everyone chuckle - a truly unforgettable character. Howard spent many years as an advocate and volunteer for the Coldwater community. He has left a remarkable legacy in the farming community, and an indelible mark on everyone he knew. May his family keep his memory close. We will miss him.

I am saddened to hear of the loss of Howard. He was an icon to all who knew him. I first met him when I was 17. I had just started dating Jim and we were at the Balkwill corn roast. Jim had left me with a friend sitting alone not knowing anyone there. Howard came up, shook my hand and introduced himself to me. A true gentleman! He will be missed.
