I was housekeeper for Rita & Gordon in the little house. Then for Rita in her newly built home for several years as well as a few at her daughter's. I always appreciated the fresh cut flowers from her garden that scented her tastefully decorated home.

Rita was a solidifying presence during my time with her in both Orillia and Coldwater theatre. Full of personality, talent and sharp wit, I always had a fabulous time around Rita. Thinking of the family and her beloved communities during this time.

Aunty Rita was a lifelong friend of my parents Cyril and Joan Butcher from England and she stayed in touch with us all for the whole of her life. She travelled the world and had amazing drive! I will never forget the most beautiful flowers she arranged for my wedding back in 1994, they were truely spectacular. She loved the theatre, drama and the arts, was talented and full of vitality. I'll miss aunty Rita. Love and deepest sympathy to all the family, Helen xx

Great Sympathy for Rita's Family. She was a joy to work with at Coldwater Village Players or MAT. We remember While doing Sound of Music as the Reverend Mother she slipped up on her high note during Climb Every Mountain. Probably most audience members- of which we were two, never noticed- but she did. Hugs, Rob & Tom
