Obituary of Christine Joan Shaw

Passed away with family at her side at the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Wednesday April 16, 2025 at the age of 71.  Cherished wife of Fred Shaw.  Loved mother of Jody (Ryan), and Mark (Gennine).  Loving grandmother of Ainsley, Derek, and Ethan.  Dear sister of Susan Hollingshead (Rick).  Sister-in-law of Cheryl King (Kim), Susan Ferris (Lowell), and Jackie Ayers (Kevin).  Will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, and by her faithful companion Lucy.  Predeceased by her parents Richard & Joan Ainsley.  Christine retired with over 25 years of service from Severn Township Planning Department.

Christine requested cremation, and a celebration of her life will be held at the Coldwater Legion on Sunday June 1st from 1-4pm.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Christine may be made to the ALS Society of Canada or to the Matchedash Community Heritage Centre and may be made through the Funeral Home.
