Obituary of Beverly Richard Goodison
Passed peacefully at Andy’s House Hospice on Saturday April 19, 2025 at the age of 90. Bev is survived by his wife, Patricia (nee McVicar); his sons, Timothy (Martha Orloci), David, and John; his granddaughters, Kathryn Orloci-Goodison (Alexander Arbery) and Ruth Orloci-Goodison; and his sister Elaine Shillington. He was predeceased by older sister Ruth, mother Alma and father Herbert.
Bev was born in 1935 and raised on the shores of Lake Erie near Blenheim, Ontario. He met Pat on a blind date and following his education in chemical engineering at MlT, the couple married in 1959. Bev and Pat eventually settled in Toronto in 1965, where they raised their three sons. Despite being a lifelong Cleveland fan, Bev could reliably be found watching the Blue Jays play at home.
Bev and Pat purchased property near Minden, Ontario, where they built a cottage that quickly became the center of family life. Bev took great joy in his retirement spending long summer days on the lake with his granddaughters. At Bev's request, his ashes will be submerged in that lake.
No funeral service will be planned. Arrangements entrusted with Funeral Director Laird M. Vanni of the Coldwater Funeral Home, Coldwater.
ln lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice Muskoka at
