Sincerest condolences to Ib, Astrid, Alec and family. I am so very saddened by Rev. Marlene's death. She was a remarkable person and the most gifted, honest, intelligent, passionate and faithful minister I have ever known. It was my great honour many years ago to compile and type a selection of her sermons from her time at Parkdale United Church. Know I am thinking of you all. Sending you love, peace and strength as you negotiate this new world without her.

Marlene was a wonderful colleagues and supportive friend. Well done thou good and faithful servant. My heart goes out to Ib and family in their time of grief. Marlene was a gentle and gritty blessing to those who had the privilege to know her. May you be consoled by the truth of the faith she served and the embrace of our risen Saviour. Rev. Hugh Reid
