MEMORIES TO BE SHARED
Obituary of Wayne Charles Turner
Much loved owner of Severn Falls Marina and Metal Works, passed away on Thursday September 4, 2025 at the Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland, at age 62, after stoically living with cancer for 7 months.
Wayne was deeply loved by his many friends and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Known for his infectious smile, generosity, ingenuity, and his constant willingness to help anyone in need, Wayne leaves a lasting impact on the Severn River Community and a hole in the hearts of all who cherished him.
In recent months, Wayne shared special time with his sister Nancy, creating cherished memories together. Through laughter and tears, their time together brought great comfort in his final days.
Wayne is predeceased by his parents, Charlie Turner and Evelyn Ferguson (Turner) (Thorneycroft) and is survived by his sister Nancy, his brother in law, Gerd, and his nephews, Charlie and Ian.
He will be missed by Maria DiMarco and her family Jess and Johnny.
In honour of Wayne’s much adored cat Bubba and whose companionship meant the world to Wayne, donations may be made to The Comfie Cat Shelter in Orillia or to a charity of your choice through the Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held at the Bonaire Golf Club, 1699 Woodrow Road, Coldwater on Sunday September 28th from 1-4pm with memories being shared at 2pm.
