(Retired Sergeant with the OPP after 32 years of service)

Passed away at the age of 68 after a longtime battle with his health at the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Wednesday October 8, 2025 of Coldwater.  Cherished and beloved husband of 47 years to Paula.  Loved father of Michael (Katelyn), Colleen Brown (Andy), and the late Allison (March 2012).  Loving grandfather of Nathan, Adriana, Josephine, Hannah, Emma, Eli and Owen.  Dear son of Catherine and the late Alexander.  Brother of Brian (Anne).  Will be missed by his family and friends.

The family will honor his life with a visitation at the Coldwater Funeral Home, Coldwater on Tuesday from 6-9pm.  The funeral service will be held at the Coldwater United Church on Wednesday October 15th at 1pm.  A private burial will be held at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Alex may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada and can be made through the Funeral Home.
