Obituary of Jerzy (George) Robert Bartnicki

Passed away peacefully at the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Thursday April 21, 2016 at the age of 92, of Moonstone. Beloved husband of the late Maree (December 2005). Loving father of Andrew Bartnicki (Odette), Patricia Quinn (Bruce), and Janice Steponas (Ernie). Will be lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother of Jadwiga Bartnicka, and Wanda Danielski. George was a decorated and proud WWII Veteran, 2nd Lt 1st,3rd and 5th Carpathian Provost Company Polish Armed Forces under British Command. Infantry 1940 to 1944 and Military Police 1944 to 1946. The family will honour his life with a visitation at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater (705-686-3344 or 1-888-645-5485) on Tuesday from 1-3 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Waubaushene on Wednesday April 27th at 11am. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of George may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
