Gayle, Ken and Family: Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Your Mom and Dad were like grandparents to Neil. He loved every minute he spent with them after they retired in Coldwater.

Aunt Devere, I will always remember you as someone who made me feel loved and welcome whenever we visited or got together and as a positive and somewhat legendary figure in family lore! As I grew older and became more aware of you as a person, what you stood for and how you lived your life, a profound sense of respect was added to the love that was always there. Aunt Devere, you touched countless lives. It is comforting to know that you have been loved and will forever be remembered by so many. Rest in peace.

When our family moved into Coldwater onto Brick Pond Rd 15 years ago it was labour day weekend and a very busy time. Maureen was 4 about to start kindergarten and Meagan was 9 entering a new school. When DeVere, as we knew her, found out we would not have a fridge or stove for the first few days, promptly at 4:30 each day until she saw the "sears" truck deliver our appliances, she dropped off a hot meal for our family. That act of kindness is one of our fondest memories of our first few years here. It didn't end there. Gayle looked after our kids before and after school providing a very stable and enriching time for them. Often they would come home with their crafts from Gayle's talking of a visit and stories from "gramma" as they came to know DeVere. She touched our lives and her spirit will live on in so many wonderful ways. Always fondly remembered by Trudy, Pat, Meagan and Maureen Coughlin

We couldn't possibly write all that you have meant to us,in this short space. We will miss the weekly phone calls between us. The shows we liked on BBC were a source of great conversations all round. You were an isnpiration to us-having done so much & continuing to do so,even at 90 plus. "Lots of love to you both"-those were always your last words to us at conversation end. Thank-you!
