Art it is a sad and difficult one year death notice for all who knew you. You left behind many memories, many real great memories. Memories of a man who loved his family, a man who enjoyed to farm, work, and enjoy the outdoors. Your strong values and advice is what keeps us all going forward although very difficult at times. You are missed by your wife Dot, family Jim, Sandra, Gail and John, Rob (predeceased) and all son inlaws, daugter inlaws and grandchildren. Also your brother Ern, and many other friends and neighbours and relatives. You left us on that very saddened day Nov. 22, 2013. The emotions are still as strong one year later as it was the day you moved on to a better place. All family are still shedding tears of upset one year later and are all pulling together when they can to comfort one another. When the emotions are as strong one year later as they were on that day you left it only means one thing Art, the impact of support and being positive and touching out to each of us one way or another was huge. I know as time continues we will all one by one be joining you and others we have lost. Untl that time it will be hard moving on with out you but we must. Lorne, Gail, Crystal and Chad Canning. PS I only wish I could have you join me for a drink and talk about the good things we talked about but now that your up there looking down and I am down here looking up I just want to say Cheers to one of the best men we ever knew. Our thougts are with the rest of the family. Lorne and Gail Canning.

May all your special memories of your Dad, help you during this difficult time, Gail. No one can take those memories away. Although, I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr Coombs, the many people I saw coming and going during my short visit, speaks volumes at what a special man, he was. May you Rest In Peace, Mr. Coombs. Our deepest sympathy ....

I met Art about 30 years ago and from day one I know he was a good hard working family man. I have gained valuable advice and knowlege from being with him and later marrying into the family with his daughter Gail. Art was a all around good man as he was a outdoors man, farmer, bush man, factory worker, all the while being a great provider for his family. He went through live cautiously and always planned for days ahead that might be harder times. It was all these aspects of a great man that gave me the knowlege to carry on and plan ahead for myself. Through out the years I drank with him, snowmobiled , farmed and sometimes even took weekend getaways together. He will be really missed but all the good advice and memories will make him appear in my mind like he is still near by. I lost a father inlaw and a great friend but spiritually I still have it all. Missed by his son in law Lorne Canning and family
