Obituary of Joan Hicks

Passed away with family at her side at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland on Monday February 24, 2014 at the age of 69. Beloved wife of Bill. Loved mother of Brenda, Billy (Janice), and Cindi (Rick). Grandmother of Lloyd, Ashley, Lori, Stephanie, Gavin, Andrea, and Julianna. Great grandmother of Alexis, Nicole, and Naomi. Dear sister-in-law of Bob & Marie. Will be missed by her nieces and nephews. Joan was an active member of the Coldwater Legion serving as president of the Ladies Auxiliary, was a Past Poppy Fund Chairperson and a volunteer bar steward. The family will honour Joan's life with a visitation at the Coldwater Legion on Friday February 28th from 1pm until 2:45pm followed by the Ladies Auxiliary service, then the funeral service will be held at 3pm. Spring Interment Coldwater Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Joan may be made to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Coldwater Legion and may be made through the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater (705-686-3344).
