Passed away at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland with his family at his side on Thursday April 10, 2014 at the age of 92 and formerly of Vasey. Beloved husband of the late Iris (August 2011). Loving father of Stephen & his wife Bonnie of Midland, Jim of Midland, and Peter & his wife Colette of Peterborough. Loved grandfather of Christina (Kelvin), Mark (Candice), Jennifer, and Stuart. Dear great grandfather of Cooper, Madison, Sophie, Calum, and Avrie. Fred was a retired teacher from Penetanguishene Secondary School. Following cremation a private family graveside service will be held at a later date at the Vasey United Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Fred may be made to the Unity United Church, Vasey and may be made through the Coldwater Funeral Home, Coldwater (705-686-3344 or 1-888-645-5485).
