Only the most influential human of my formative years(17-20).gerry was a social worker at a youth hostel I found myself at in Toronto and we formed a friendship deep enough for him to feel it would be appropriate to handover his rent controlled apartment to me and get me out of the hostel(hostile ) situation I was living in. We shared many good times following that over the next few years including me taking nevin off road trail riding on a street bike,hanging out at his rental cottage outside of Toronto ,and finally him giving me(for a couple hundred bucks) the mighty deisel powered Taurus that made its way out to Vancouver island where my girlfriend and I started "the next chapter".i reconnected with Gerry a few years ago and was aware of some hospital visits etc, but he never let on that things were dire to a fatal extent. My best to his family,and in the spirit of the message I've chosen to extract from my time with him....be nice to each other ,it actually makes a difference.
