Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Hillcrest Village Care Centre, Midland on Sunday June 22, 2014, at the age of 107, formerly of Coldwater, Black Lake and Woodbridge. Will be fondly remembered by his nieces June Lister and Marion Knotts and by his cherished friends Ruth, Pat, and Judy Tredgett. Predeceased by his sisters Annie, Olive, and Freda, and by his brother Charles. Al was a retired employee of Ontario Hydro (Kipling) and a Veteran of W.W. ll. As per Al's request there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Al's life will be held at a later date, when his cremated remains are buried. Ruth, Pat and Judy wish to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hillcrest Village for the care and compassion shown to Al.
