Obituary of Ida Doyle

Passed away peacefully at Trillium Manor, Orillia on Monday December 15, 2014 at the age of 99½ years formerly of Matchedash. Beloved wife of the late Charles Doyle (August 1987). Loved mother of Ron Doyle (Linda) of Matchedash, Mary Silk (David) of Orillia, Ed Doyle of Matchedash, and Cathy Daley (Stewart) of Caledon. Loving grandmother of Tracy Lloyd (Larry), Lisa Corbett (Clayton Reed), Sheri Johnstone (Dwain), Aaron Silk (Jennie), Andrew Silk, Sean Daley, and Michelle Daley. Great grandmother of Kyle & Blake Lloyd, Bobbi-Joe & Justin Corbett, Curtis & Jacklyn Laughlin, and Ella Silk. Dear sister-in-law of Joanne Doyle. Predeceased by her sisters Anne Watson, Teeny Crutcher, and Janet Playfair Brown, and by her brother Tom McPhee. Ida was a retired teacher having taught at South River Public School, Mt. Stephen Public School, Honey Harbour Catholic School, and St. John's Catholic School, Waubaushene. Ida was also an honorary member of the North River Women's Institute, a member of the Retired Teachers of Ontario (Orillia Area), and a member of the Retired Women Teachers of Ontario "Coldwater Branch". The family will honour Ida's life with a visitation at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will held at St. John The Baptist R.C. Church, Port Severn on Friday December 19th at 11am. Spring Interment St. John's R.C. Cemetery, Waubaushene. The North River Women's Institute will hold a service to honour Ida on Thursday evening at 6:45pm. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Ida may be made to Trillium Manor "Palliative Care Program", St. John The Baptist R.C. Church or Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Foundation. "We Will Treasure Your Stories"
