Obituary of Elsie Straus

Passed away peacefully at Elim Homes, Waubaushene on Sunday January 4, 2015 at the age of 92, formerly of Coldwater. Beloved wife of the late Philip Straus. Loving mother of Carol Kirby (Bob) of Port Severn, Sheila Leggett of Woodstock, and Ken Straus (Diane) of Shanty Bay, and step mother of Marie Volick of Markdale, Viola Rowan (Frank) of Powassan, Alfred Strauss of Grand Forkes, BC., and the late Eileen. Loved grandmother of 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her 2 sisters and 1 brother. The family will honour Elsie's life with a visitation at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater, (705-686-3344) from 2-4 & 7-9pm Thursday, where service will be held on Friday January 9th at 1pm. Interment Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens, Oakville on Saturday January 10th at 1pm. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Elsie may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Ontario Lung sociation.
