I often wondered where I got my feistiness from. I used to love visiting my Auntie Beth because she always had a story to tell from her past. One day she told me about how, when she was a little girl riding the school bus she would love getting on the bus to go home because it was a long ride and her mom (my grandmother) would always pack her an extra sandwich for the way home. She told of how the village bully saw her eating her sandwich and began to race her to the bus, steal her sandwich and eat it! She was very upset and hungry because of this! After some time of these on-goings, she told her mom....next day her mom said just let him eat your sandwich...she had made an especially good sandwich filled with extra ham hot mustard and hot sauce lol! Well, guess what...Auntie Beth's sandwich never was stolen again. We laughed and laughed when she told us of the look on that bully's face as he downed half the sandwich in one bite. : D Love you Auntie Beth. Thanks for all the fun times.

A few years back my husband and I received a call from our son who was visiting Horseshoe Valley Ski Resort....He was stuck there with car trouble. We hopped in the van to go get him....a winter storm came up and we were unable to make it to the resort as the roads had become impassable. I knew my Aunt lived close by so we gave her a call and told her of our situation. "Come on over, you can stay here" was her reply. She made up a bed, tucked us in and kept us safe and warm til we were able to get to our son! Love you for it Auntie Beth.

Auntie Beth was such a loving lady. She made everyone's day brighter and happier. I remember her as a young child. I could hardly wait to arrive at her home for visits-there was only love and cheerfulness and laughter in her home. I am so sorry for your loss Ann, Bob and Dave. There will now be two voids that no one can fill. You have such good loving, supportive memories of your mom and that is what will keep you going. God Bless. Know that you are loved by all your cousins and we will be here for you.
