Obituary of Olive Dawe

Passed away peacefully at the Georgian Bay General Hospital "Midland Site" on Wednesday December 29, 2010 at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Lester Ward Dawe. Beloved mother of Arlene Meakins-Dawe of Port Severn, Cheryl Hauser, and Laurie Lederman (Richard) of Toronto. Loving grandmother of John, Julie, Rachel, Samantha, and Michelle. Predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Gladys & Normal Strong. Lovingly remembered by the Strong nieces and the Ward nieces and nephews. Olive will be sadly missed by all. Olive was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Orillia Chapter # 141. Arlene wishes to express her sincere appreciation to the Red Cross Personal Support Workers Mary Jane Lawson, Nancy Iris, Michelle MacFadden, Nurse Trudy Ward, and Dr. Martin Veall for the care and support shown to Olive. A visitation to honour Olive's life will be held at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater on Sunday from 2-4pm and on Monday from 11:30am-12:30pm, then proceeding to St. Matthias Anglican Church,Coldwater for the funeral service at 1pm. Spring Interment Matawatchan Cemetery, Dacre, Ontario. Members of the Eastern Star, Orillia Chapter # 141 will hold a serviceat the funeral home on Monday at 12:15pm. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Olive may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Georgian Bay General Hospital "Penetanguishene Site".
