Obituary of William Oakley

Passed away peacefully at the Georgian Bay General Hospital "Midland Site" on Monday January 31, 2011 in his 88th year, formerly of Matchedash. Son of the late William & Esther Oakley. Brother of Charles Oakley of Cumberland Beach and the late Bessie Raymond. Will be missed by his nieces & nephews, Shirley Gamna, Dave Raymond, Pat Raycraft, Ronnie Oakley, Bobby Oakley, Bruce Oakley Lennard Oakley, Hazel Durnford, June Reed, and predeceased by his nephew Eric Hutchinson. Ernie was a former employee of Dor Oliver Long and the Simcoe County District School Board. The family will honour Ernie's life with a visitation at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, Matchedash on Thursday February 3rd at 1pm. Spring interment St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery, Matchedash. As Ernie loved horses, as an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Ernie may be made to the Orillia OSPCA or to St. John's Anglican Church, Matchedash.
