Obituary of Harold Brett

Passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Penetanguishene on Thursday June 23, 2011 at the age of 84 of Midland and formerly of Victoria Harbour. Beloved husband of Mary (nee: Mitchinson). Loving father of Mary-Lynne Brett (Lyle), James Brett, Rob Brett (Rochelle), Stephen Brett, and Barrie Brett (Janet). Loved grandfather of Emily, Blake, Olivia, Colbey, Clara, and Myles. Dear brother of Vicki Brett, Phyllis, Grisdale, Richard Brett, and Nora Brett. Harold was a former member of the Barrie Minor Hockey Association, former member of the executive of the Barrie Figure Skating Club, Commodore of the Barrie Yacht Club, former D.J., and former executive member of the Barrie J.C.'s, and a former mason with the Bayport Lodge, Victoria Harbour. Following cremation, a celebration of Harold's life will be held at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater on Wednesday June 29th at 1pm. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Harold may be made to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the "Palliative Care Unit" of Georgian Bay General Hospital "Penetanguishene Site".
