Passed away at the Georgian Bay General Hospital "Penetanguishene Site", with her mother at her side on Tuesday September 6, 2011 at the age of 48 of Waubaushene. Loving mother of Nicole Lindsay and Carly Lindsay. Loved daughter of Lois and the late Jim Thornton. Dear sister of Donna & her husband Collin Hurst, Greg Thornton & his wife Susan, and Scott Thornton. Will be missed by her nieces and nephews Ryan, Jenna, Rylee, and Kurtis and by her great nephew Taylor. It was Shelly's request that, following cremation, a private family graveside service was to be held at St. John's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Waubaushene. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Shelly may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Georgian Bay General Hospital "Penetanguishene Site" and may be made through the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater (705-686-3344 or 1-888-645-5485).
