Leeanne Spencer posted a condolence

Dave I am so sad and unfortunately everything I wrote didn't show up on the condolences. Leanne looked after my mother when she was in Trillium and Leanne was with her when she passed which meant so much to me. Leanne and I met up at Orville's funeral and that is when we realized that we had both had the same head surgery. We had a lot to talk about and her sister brought her over to my house where we had a really nice discussion about all of this. I really wanted to get together again with Leanne. My thoughts are with you.........Leeanne Spencer

Dear Dave and family, we were overcome with deep sadness to hear of Leanne's passing. We were out of the country and regret not being able to share in the celebration of the life of a woman who trully touched us in a way that her memory will always remain in our hearts.
Both Ross and I had the pleasure of working along side of Leanne at Trillium Manor and enjoying recreational activities (softball and golf) with her. Leanne was blessed with a kind and compassionate manner about her which made being in her presence always a pleasure. Leanne was highly respected and was both professional and fun. I miss her smiling face on my night shifts when she'd come around to check on me in the laundry. Her smile and her laugh will be greatly missed. Dr. Hall's comments trully described Leanne to a tee how people will remember her.
There are no words to lessen your sorrow. Knowing Leanne will now have peace is a blessing. Leanne will always be your guardian angel.
Sincerely,
Rosa and Ross

It was with great sadness I learned of Leanne's passing. I knew her from Trillium Manor where she helped to care for my mother, Florence. Leanne was kind, caring and very compassionate. She was everything a nurse could possibly be -- and much more !
Leanne was with me almost 4 years ago when my Mom passed away in the middle of the night. She offered me such comfort at that time. Leanne will surely be missed by the residents and staff at Trillium. My thoughts are with you and your family at this very sad and difficult time.

We were deeply saddened by the news of Leanne's passing. Our heart felt condolences to you and your family. It's never easy.
We fondly remember growing up with Lois, Leanne and Lynn. A memory that stands out occurred one winter when the meadow had froze and we all skated together on the ice. We also remember one occurrence where we all went out to Sebright Gardens to pick strawberries. We enjoyed each others company.
We remember Leanne as a very kind spirited girl, who cared for others.

It was with much sadness that I learned of Leanne's passing, Dave. I remember her well from library visits . She was a kind and gentle lady... More proof that God takes the best soonest. Many people have remarked on her remarkable capability in nursing service with seniors. I can well imagine with her quiet, easy going demeanour, she would be one of the best. My heartfelt sympathy to you and both your families. I know your world has turned upside down.

Leanne was a wonderful person with all the great qualities that constitute a super nurse. Fortunately she was the nurse who cared for my wife Grace [also a wonderful nurse] in the final days of her eight years spent in four hospitals and two nursing homes. I was very grateful that Leanne shared with me the closing moments of Grace's life in 2001. This was for me a bonding experience that induced me to remain in contact with Leanne since then, exchanging greetings and best wishes each year.
She will always remain a bright light in my memory.

I would like to express my condolences to you and your family. It is very difficult to lose anyone close to our hearts, but to know that Leanne is in a more peaceful, pain-less environment gives some relief. God and the angels will embrace such a caring and wonderful person. Please use the support from friends and family to endure the emotional pain that you have had to go through in the past three years of caring and loving your spouse. I have truly missed our morning greetings each day, but I am happy to know she is now at peace. The Lord received another angel this week one who will be sadly missed by all.

David; Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Leanne. I was privileged
to have worked with her for 14 yrs at Trillium, both as a friend and fellow RN. Leanne had so many wonderful qualities. She was kind, patient, respectful, efficient, empathetic. All this along with a wicked sense of humour. I remember that you often packed her lunch for her when she was on day shift. She was known for her fondness of cookies and the Norwegian Men's curling team. There were many heavy hearts today at Trillium. One of our nursing staff stated that whenever she encountered a difficult issue at work, she always thought "what would Leanne do". Leanne will live on in the hearts of all at Trillium. We are indeed better people for having known her and having had her in our lives. May you find comfort in knowing she was well-loved.
