Passed away at the Leacock Care Centre, Orillia on Tuesday October 13, 2015, in her 98th year, of Coldwater. Beloved wife of the late Jack McCaskell (October 1985). Loving mother of John McCaskell (Margaret) of Orillia, Shirley Jennett (late John) of Coldwater, and Peter McCaskell (Loreen) of Guelph. Loved grandmother of Laurie, Carl, Jodie, Lisa, and Kerri. Dear great grandmother of Nicole, Rachel, Devin, Isaac, Jocelyn, Jack, and Emma. Sister-in-law of Elsie Russell. Loving Aunt of several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents James & Minnie Phillips and by her brothers Ainslie Phillips (Rena), Alfred Phillips (Marie), Elgin Phillips (Bernice), Harry Phillips (Irene) and by her sisters Marjorie Phillips, Lauretta Phillips, Dorothy Beavis (Frank), and Vera Palk (Wes). Also predeceased by her brothers-in-law Charlie McCaskell (Elsie), Harvie McCaskell (Elsie), and Carman Russell, and by her sisters-in-law Lula Martin (Cyril), Mildred McCaskell, and Fern McCaskell. The family will honour Lila’s life with a visitation at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Coldwater on Saturday October 17th at 11am. Interment Coldwater Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Lila may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Coldwater or to the charity of your choice.
