Obituary of Margaret Kitchen

Passed away with her family at her side at Leisure World, Orillia on Wednesday March 28, 2012 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Albert Kitchen (1971). Loving mother of Barry Kitchen of Orillia, Louise Goodchild (Ron) of Foxmead, Ruth Dunlop (Bob) of Forest Home, Mark Kitchen (Darlene) of Orillia, Anita Kitchen (Barry) of Orillia, Bonnie Kitchen of Barrie, Teresa Cadorette (Andre) of Parry Sound, Glenn Kitchen (Diane) of Bracebridge, Clifford Kitchen (Cindy) of Coldwater and the late Melody Kitchen. Loved grandmother of 22 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Betty Jorgenson of Antiock Illinois, Nora Coombs of Waubaushene, Ron Kitchen (Norma) of Ajax, the late Bill Kitchen (Flo), the late Lorna Cartmill (Lloyd), the late Agnes Church (Doug), and the late Joe Coombs. Predeceased by her parents Grant & Nellie Blaney and by her brother Oscar Blaney. Will be missed by a special family friend Ruth Anne Tiffin. Margaret was a 20 year employee with the former Matchedash Township, and a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #270, Coldwater "Ladies Auxiliary". At Margaret's request there will be no visitation or service. Following cremation, a private family graveside service was held at St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery, Matchedash. The family will honour her life at the Coldwater Legion on Monday April 2nd from 2-4pm. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Margaret may be made to St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery, Matchedash or to the charity of your choice and may be made through the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater (705-686-3344).
