Obituary of Joseph Raymond Corbiere

Passed away at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Wednesday August 3, 2016, just 2 days shy of his 66th birthday. Loving father of two daughters, Carey (Tom) and Christie (Darryl) and predeceased by his only son Adam who left this world on July 3, 1993. Loved papa to Evan (Ebony), Adam (Arizona), Travis, Tia, Ty, Taylor (aka Mary), Chloe, Kendra, Lylah and Joseph who was welcomed to the world on the day of his death. Dear brother of Betty, Bernice, Helen, Lorna, Louise, David, Peter (deceased), Keith and Karen. He was Uncle Joe to many nieces and nephews. Raymond was predeceased by his parents David and Mary Louise Corbiere. He was a lifelong resident of Honey Harbour. An accomplished carpenter, he was responsible for many of the scenic cottages you pass as you tour the Islands of Georgian Bay. He was a well-known fisherman, as well as a hunter and trapper in his younger years. He will be forever remembered by all for his big heart, big smile, big cigar and big sense of humour. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held in the Parish Hall of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Honey Harbour on Saturday September 3rd from 11am - 2pm, with a time of sharing memories at 12noon.
