William Dawson was my Mom's (Mary White nee Dawson) older brother. She was very proud of her older brother. I remember Uncle Bill when he came to Goose Bay for my Mom's funeral. It was the only time we met. I was eager to feed him after a long days travelling to Labrador from Ontario. He was mourning the loss of his sister and in no shape to eat the pile high plate of food I placed in front of him. He told me to put it in the fridge and he would eat it in the morning for breakfast which he did. I told him there was more food for the morning. He told me not to throw it out. It was a very valuable lesson in different generations and not wasting. He left a very lasting impression. I friended him recently on FB hoping to reconnect. I am glad I messaged him to say hi. My condolences Ron, John, Paul, your families and Uncle Cliff and Aunt Carmel.
