I will miss you Aunt Nellie as you always had a smile and a kind word.
What I loved about you is you were nonjudgmental and always looked for the positive outcome.
I loved to hear you laugh and you were always so full of energy always out puttering around the house.
It has always amazed me how you raised such a large family in that small green house in Port Severn...I used to love coming down and it would always be an adventure to survive another day after being around the Woods boys...especially Jesse,Glenn and Roddy.
I love you Aunt Nellie.

My condolences to my cousins for the loss of your Mom, my Aunt Nellie. Aunty was always a positive, happy influence in my life. She took exceptional moments over the years to share so much with me. I feel a bit selfish thinking she was going to live forever, but we both knew that would not happen. Still it will be hard to imagine now her not being where I always saw her. I last had such a wonderful visit with her June 25, 2016. I arrived late morning, Aunty answered the door. She walked up and down the stairs with ease. A smile met me at the top of the stairs as I reached out to hug her. Aunty was so happy in this moment. I think the sweetest was when she was going to make me a cup of tea. I said its okay Aunty, just sit and lets enjoy our visit. Minutes turned to hours and although I never wanted to leave, I knew Jesse was busy making her lunch and I wanted to make sure she enjoyed it. As I was getting ready to go, she held me for a long moment and said, "Gheez, you are a sweet kid, you look so much like, Clarence, as she chuckled" She always loved my dad and he felt the same about Aunt Nellie. Both Jesse and Aunty walked me out. Aunty showed me her garden and we laughed at how many plants she had collected over the years, Seeing her waving and smiling at me as I was getting ready to head back up to Ottawa and how well she looked and felt on that day, was a testament to the good care Jesse had given her and her love for family. Such a beautiful gift I will always cherish. There is a permanent place in my heart for Aunt Nellie, she was there right from the start of my life's and was always a big part of my life. How blessed we were to have so much fun for so many years. Thanks Aunty for all you gave me from your heart, I will always love you and miss you, but know, I will pay it forward, as you always said it was the way to live, loving and helping others <3 XXOO Rest in Peace Aunty, you have earned your spot in Heaven...Until we meet again...Yours Always, Sunshine <3
