Saturday, December 29, 2018Our / my deepest condolences to a very special sister-in-law, Doug (Cathy), Gord, Stephanie, Matthew and Ryan. Carole it seems for some reason, you have always been a part of my life, even at my age of 5 when you and Leo vacationed at my grandparents cottage in Hastings, watching me doing cartwheels in the yard. Who knew back then that you would become my god-mother giving my guidance in converting to Catholic. Helping me figure out what was in the middle of the road when I was driving you and I one night, as I couldn't see because I was to proud to wear glasses.... Then you allowed me to do a school project on Doug when he was a baby, sharing precious moments that only a mother could appreciate... And then you became part of my family or should I say, my becoming part of the Bourque family. Then you and I decided to go to night school to learn French, which somehow didn't work out for me. And how about our fly fishing outings when Leo and Don left us alone and somehow we ended up in the middle of the cows coming down to the river for a drink and surrounded us, scared the crap out of us... These are just some of the things that have come back into memory for me, things that I'll never forget. I want you to know that if there is anything you need, I'll be here for you, just as you were always there for me as I "grew up". Love always Lin.
