Obituary of Dorothea Patterson

Passed away at the Sara Vista Long Term Care, Elmvale on Friday June 22, 2012. Wife of the late William J. "Bill" Patterson. Sister of the late Netta Stuart and the late Keith Lees. Remembered by sisters-in-law Orma Lees of Barrie and Vivian Peterson of Prescott. Aunt of Wayne Stuart of Alberta, Douglas Stuart of Cambridge, Colleen Phillips of Midhurst, Wanda Anderson of Coldwater, Lynda Ritchie of Elmvale, Murray Lees of Elmvale, Allan Lees of Barrie, Faye Sheardown of Cookstown and their families and by her cousins in Co. Londonderry and Co. Tyrone in Northern Ireland and in Plymouth England. Dorothea was a retired employee of Bell Canada after 35 years of service. A member for over 60 years of the Sons & Daughters of Ireland P.A., serving many years as their Grand Secretary, and as Grand Treasurer and for 2 years their Grand President. Present member of Emerald Lodge #13, S. & D.I.P.A. A former member of Bridlewood Presbyterian Church, Scarborough and a current member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Barrie. The family will honour her life with a visitation at the McClelland & Slessor Funeral Home, 152 Bradford Street, Barrie from 7-9 Monday and at the Bridlewood Presbyterian Church, 2501 Warden Ave., Scarborough on Tuesday from 10am until time of service at 11am. Following the reception, interment will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Scarborough at approximately 1:45pm.
