I am so very sorry to learn of the passing of an old friend and colleague from our Molson days. A bigger than life character, Rolf’s smile and laugh will always be remembered. In that, his memory lives on.

The Frehn's wish to extend their heartfelt condolences to the family for this untimely loss. Always an outreached arm with a beer in hand, on occasion when I had time to sit with Rolf. Rolf was a hard working man with fortitude. God must have had a task for him... Your lack of presence will be felt.

This is my fourth attempt at trying to find the perfect words to express how I feel. It's always difficult losing someone you love but when you've lost someone so unexpectedly it leaves you with a feeling of not only loss but regret for the things that you did not get a chance to say or do.
I never for a moment thought I would run out of time.
Rolf always gave you the impression that he was going to live forever and that nothing could ever knock him down.
That is the Rolf that you always saw but underneath that strong exterior he was a very kind, generous, caring and loving person.
I have so many fond and funny memories of the times we had together.
I loved the quiet times we would spend in the morning up at the cottage having our coffee relaxing. Rolf with his needlepoint me with my book.
He was a man of many talents, he created beautiful needlepoint artwork, he could build anything and he could create a feast for a king. there was never an occasion that would go by that he would not let you know how much he cared.
To me Rolf will never be gone.
A day won't go by without thinking of him.
You will always be in my heart and in my memories.
'You are my favorite' Rolfie. .
I love you Arf.
I hope you knew how much you meant to me. I will miss you.
Your loving friend
Cheryl ( Charlemagne)

I love you so much. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. I’ll miss you.
And just in case you haven’t had it in a while. DOUBLE DOUBLE PIZZA. :P *raspberry noise* SUCKS!!

Dad. I’m so sorry. For not being there for you while you were at the hospital. Or ever. Could really use a trip to Dr. Chuckles with you and the fam. I always think of Jeff Foxworthy, Milli Vanilli, ZZ Top, Supertramp and rocking in the Safari Van all the way to cottage. I think of you everyday. And could never let you know. Everyday when I grab my knives, or make a soup... basically anything kitchen related you’ll be in my mind as per usual. I had some Helluva good dip today, doesn’t taste like I remember with you. You’re supposed to be strong like bull and I am smart like street car. You are my role model I always aspired to be like you. And never could even talk to you. I’m so sorry Pops, Bossman, PoppaDukes R.I.P. I love you more than you’ll ever know. And you’ll be missed greatly.

Rolf was the absolute best boss I’ve ever had. He taught me a great deal, he was so much more than a mentor and friend. Rolf challenged me to be a better
( chef, person, employee....) while also having fun along the way. He is a very important person to me, he made a huge impact in my life during my early twenties. He helped shape who I am and how I cook. I’m sobbing as I write this. I was trying to track him down so we could reconnect, instead I find his obituary. I’ll miss you Bossman.
