So sad to hear of Edna's passing.. She was a lovely thoughtful and sweet person whom we got to know as Stuart and Edna were neighbours. Our sincere condolences to her family. We hope you take comfort knowing she will be fondly remembered always.

I first met Edna Bell in about 1978 when she came to audit my Co-operators agency office. That audit and several that followed were more fun than an audit should be. When Edna and Stu retired to their cottage I became their agent. Their visits to my office and my visits to their home were always a real pleasure. When I saw the notice of Stu’s passing I tried to contact Edna by phone but always go her answering machine. They were a couple that were a true joy to have known. With respect for a fine Lady, David

Edna was a great friend to my mom Kate - she was kind, thoughtful and had a lovely sense of humor. My family and I have such fond memories of Edna and Stu - loved visiting them at the lake and even in Florida.
Edna is now resting peacefully with Stu by her side. Love and prayers to Edna's family.

I miss Aunt Edna and hope she is reunited with all who have passed before her in heaven. Although she moved to Toronto as a young adult she always came to visit us in Montreal and we also came and visited her too. Later with Stu we had a nice visit to the cottage every year which we will always remember fondly. She had a good life with a good career and a long marriage to Stu including snow bird trips to Florida for several years after retirement. I know she also enjoyed spending time with her step-children and the next generation which came along. Special thanks to Karen for taking care of all the details when Edna became ill.

I am grateful to have a great aunt like Aunt Edna. She was always so kind and cheery and had a great sense of humour... as all the burgess do! I still have the fond childhood memories of playing at her cottage, fishing and riding in the boat on the water. Seeing the chipmunks and enjoying nature and family time. I will miss you but now you are in peace with your family in heaven.
