Hi, It’s Paul Allan Blanchard writing, I I found out about my fathers death on my deceased sister’s birth date 45 days after Stan’s death and had not seen my father since Lesley’s funeral 17 years ago and I regret not being available for my dad all those years, especially in time of need, I have no excuses other than I believed he was not my biological father and I was surprised to be mentioned in the Last Will with his property split evenly between his three living children who as far as I know, didn’t have much to do with him at the time of his death, It is what it is! See you on the other side Dad, LUV PAUL

I will miss you dearly Stan even though we didnt talk often I remember as a little girl when you visited my brother Chum at my mom and dads house you hid a bunch of coins for me to go and find. I was so excited to play. You are now at peace fishing muskies in heaven with your best friend Chum. You will be sadly missed. RIP my friend

I too remember Chummy & Stan together - we were in Stan's convertible going from Waub to Port Severn - Stan decides to hop the fence and ride a cow, Chummy & myself stayed in the car and laughed our heads off - you never knew what Stan would do - he is still in my thoughts to this day - ( 54 years ago shared many an hour with Stan )

You will be missed Stan. I will miss our long talks on the phone about when I was a young, the many gatherings shared with family and friends and the memories shared with folks from Honey Harbour and surrounding areas. I know you were a part of my daddy’s (Chummy’s) life as well as others who enjoyed your crazy sense of humour and big heart. Your at rest now. Please let me know when there will be a Celebration of Life.

So sorry to hear Stan has passed. I last saw him in August 2019, he was struggling with many things his health, isolation and inability to get around. I called him before I came by and asked if I could pick something up. He wanted some fresh corn, a few veggies and a loaf of bread. I did. He was pretty happy, we laughed about the old says when he and my brother Chum use to go fishing in my Dad’s guide boat, etc. I had a feeling it might be our last time to see each other. I know Stan, Chum and my family all have him with them now and may he Rest In Peace Stan, you will be missed❤️ Mardelle Woods (Ottawa, On)

Thanks for sharing this story, I really regret not being there for Stan, WE could of helped each other if WE would have just contacted each other. I remember the name Chummy because I would be with My Dad as a young boy, sometimes with my Sister Brenda when he would visit WAUBAUSHENE from SUDBURY. Buddies were happy to see Stan - he always had alcohol with him to share, he was a Bonus Miner until he retired, Hockey Player,.......Woman Lover SOB like me,
