I was saddened to just learn of Stan’s passing today, ironic it was on Remembrance Day. When I last saw him, with my Dad Sandy and sister Lynn, it was December 2019 in the Veteran’s wing at Sunnybrook in Toronto. We were glad to see he was well taken care of in a nice facility.
Stan was my Mom’s uncle, she was very fond of him, we lost Jean in 2011 and I know it was really difficult for him to lose his niece. I have fond memories of Stan from family visits at Doug and Jeanette’s in my youth, he was a very hard working, generous and funny man. My Dad decided to build a cottage in 1969 after visiting Stan’s on Georgian Bay, our family has Stan to thank for that inspiration.
Thoughts go out to Stan’s children and extended family, he will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Sincerely, Steve Runnalls, Sudbury, ON
PS I found 2 photos with Stan, good memories.

On this thanksgiving,Stan Nowocin's children Joanne, Theresa, Tom and Joyce and his grandchildren, Danielle, Katelyn, Carter, Josh, Kristie and Rachel, are thankful for the memories they have of Stan the Muskie Man. And most of all, we are forever grateful and thankful for the legacy of Lone Pine Cottages in Honey Harbour, on the beautiful wind swept pine shores of Georgian Bay, where many many muskies were caught, and childhood memories of summer abound for each generation of Stan's family to continue to enjoy. This thanksgiving we are thinking of you dad, and grandpa, and now great-grandpa, to Danielle and her husband Nick's newborn son River, born on October 7, 2020. We will never forget the gift you have given us. You loved it up here, and so do we.

There are too many fond memories over many generations to share, but I know one thing for sure. The muskies around Honey Harbour are now swimming without fear. ❤️
