Obituary of Ellen Rankin

Passed away at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Saturday December 19, 2020 at the age of 76 of R.R. #1, Coldwater. Loved mother of Jim Rankin (Melissa Laughlin) of Coldwater. Loving and proud grandma of Stefani Ellen Rose Rankin and Olivia May Hawkins. Will be missed and remembered by her cousin Glenn Gray, by her niece Colleen Rankin and by many other nieces and nephews. Survived by her other children Candy, Bill, Derik, Cindy, and Blake. Ellen cherished her pets Daisy and Simon, loved working in her gardens, was a retired employee of Casino Rama and also devoted and selflessly gave up her time so that Jim could fulfill his dreams of playing Junior A Lacrosse. Because of regulations due to COVID-19 a graveside service and a celebration of her life for family and friends will be held and announced at a later date. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Ellen may be made to the O.S.P.C.A. “Orillia Branch”, the Coldwater Legion or to the Orangeville Junior A Northman Lacrosse Team (cheques only please) and may be made through the funeral home.
