It is with great sorrow to hear of our dear friend Lone's passing. We were camping buddies for many many years at the Barrie KOA. We had wonderful times with Lone & Pat. Lone was a man of integrity, always had a helping hand if you were in need.
We had talked them into moving to Barrie and to also join our Church, Burton Ave. United. Actually they sat with us in our pew.
We had many laughs over meals together.
Rest in Peace Lone, till we all meet again.

I was very sad to hear of the death of Lone Wood. He was my friend. We worked together over many years on the Property Committee at Northminster United Church. Lone was at the church most days doing something or other. He was a very friendly individual and a good looking man, and many of us were sure the Day Care ladies had a crush on him! That said, he was a most willing worker and would often ask me to help him as I lived close by. He was generous to the church and the Day Care and never charged for any cost to him. I'm sure we probably took him for granted. I enjoyed being with him as we worked around the church and the manse. I miss Lone and the time we spent together.

So many childhood memories of children playing hide and seek at the house on Ancona, teenagers joking around with Lone and Pat in the backyard, neighbours sharing a glass of wine on summer nights. And the many hours maintaining Northminster Church, on ladders, shoveling snow, fixing plumbing...Lone was such an important personality in our neighbourhood and in the soul of our church community. Rest easy, dear friend. Our love for you continues through the stories we still tell about your impact on our lives. Wendy Jang

I enjoyed many summers visiting with Lone and Pat when they attended services at Dalston/Crown Hill until Pat could no longer do the stairs. It was a nice surprise to see them again when I began attending at Burton Avenue.
