Obituary of Geraldine Helen Melanson
Passed away at the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Wednesday May 5, 2021 at the age of 85, of Coldwater. Beloved wife of Roger Melanson. Loved mother of Michele Melanson, Steve Melanson, Jack Melanson, David Melanson (Lisa), Tammy Whitehead (Paul) and George McAllan. Loving grandmother of many grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Tina Wagg and sister-in-law of Doris Grant. Predeceased by her brother David Grant and brother-in-law Bill Wagg. Following cremation a visitation to honour Geraldine’s life will be held at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater on Saturday May 15th from 2-4pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, attendance is limited to a specific number of people within the funeral home and must reserve a time by phoning the funeral home 705-686-3344 to secure a time slot for your visitation with the family. Due to the restrictions not all family members will be in attendance. Masks are always required inside the funeral home as well as outside of the funeral home. Screening, social distancing and proper disinfection are in place to ensure the safety of all attendees. Gathering on the funeral home grounds is not permitted. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Geraldine may be made to the Diabetes Canada or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
