I remember Christmas Eves, at the Sallows' house on Harvard Road in Waterloo. This was a tradition, when I was age 3 through 7; somewhere in that range. Bessie would be playing the piano, and my dad and all of his friends, including Mike, and Thom, would be singing Christmas carols. I remember cheese fondue, and bacon wrapped water chestnuts. The boys-including Mac would be playing darts, and the women would be playing cards. Of course, there was also the foot-stomping game with Mike. Excellent memories. Thank you Bessie; I'll always remember you as being so sweet.
