Obituary of Joyce Edna McKinnon

Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 91 on Sunday February 20, 2022 at the Villa Care Centre, Midland. Beloved wife of Ken McKinnon of Coldwater. Loving mother of Marlene McKinnon of Newmarket, Diane Gratrix (Tom) of Tay Township, Ken McKinnon (Merlyn) of the Philippines, and Larry McKinnon (Cathy) of Orillia. Loved grandmother of 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  Predeceased by brothers Lee Emerson, Ralph Emerson, Alister Emerson, Alvin Emerson, and Gerald Emerson, and by her sisters Orma Tait, and Bertha Barrager. The family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Villa Care Centre for their care and compassion given to Joyce. The family honoured her life with a visitation at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater on Thursday February 24^th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Followed by cremation. A memorial mass for family and friends will be held at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Waubaushene on Friday June 24th at 11:30am. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Joyce may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County and may be made through the funeral home.
