Dianna was without a doubt one of the most constants in my life as a young boy, having spent a good amount of my teenage years growing up around the lake and always enjoying her smiling face. One of my mom's best friends and a great mother to her own boys. Lots of great memories fishing your dock and rock, wet bike rides, barbecues, water-skiing, dancing, and not the least of pierogi fest that I still talk about today. So sad for all of you that she is gone but will certainly not be forgotten.

Our sincere condolences to Gary, Glen, Grant, Roger and family members. We will remember Dianne for her beautiful smile and gracious personality. Ray, myself and the hundreds of people that visited the cottage in Port Severn over many decades will miss Dianne dearly. It still amazes us how she could swim across the lake in such a timely fashion. God bless your families. May she rest in peace. Ray Slade, Vicki Kellar and family.

Dianna and I met on Easter weekend in 1971 at their cottage. We had just finished building our cottage, were up for the weekend, just my husband and I. It was a pretty remote area at the time, hardly any cottages but Jim saw smoke coming out of their chimney and went down to borrow something. Three hours later he came back, told me he met the nicest couple and we were invited down that evening so I could meet them. The rest is history. Dianna was more than just a friend. Dianna was the sister I never had and our friendship blossomed as the years went by. I would spend every summer at the lake with the kids and we shared so many good times together with Dianna and her boys. We shared many interests; cooking, dancing, exercising, walks, canoeing and of course waterskiing. Dianna was an amazing water skier. I could hold my own with two skies but I never did master slalom skiing in spite of Dianna's instructions. We had a lot of laughs, we partied hard, took our kids to anything of interest locally. I will never forget the year we went to Coldwater to the circus. The Brahma bull will remain in my memory forever. My boys were too young to remember that but Gary and Glen you may have some recollection. Dianna and I became known as the "Bobbsey Twins" to the locals - we just spend all our summers together and bonded. Dianna attended every milestone birthday party we had as a family including my parents birthdays and anniversaries. My dad adored Dianna. My father loved to dance and if there was one thing that Dianna did exceptionally well it was dance. Dianna had the best legs in Muskoka. The antics we used to get up to at the Riverside prior to it burning down are epic.....such great memories, such good times.
I was saddened to hear the news of Dianna's passing. Life is not always fair. I have been living in Ottawa since 2017 because I had my Jim transferred to a facility here. I have not been in touch with Dianna for years because of her limited capabilities as well. Dianna I am sure is dancing in heaven - dance on girl - you will be missed by many who loved you.

Our families bought cottages in Port Severn around the same time of my birth. We spent every summer there, so Dianna was a big part of my life growing up. I have such fond memories of fishing off their dock, learning to water ski, and generally having a great time at their place, just being around Dianna. I laughed when I read the other comments about her water skiing prowess - she cut quite the figure ripping around Able Island back into their bay on slalom, with her bikini intact and hair perfect...because she never fell! Dianna was so kind and friendly. Whenever I saw her, she would light up and flash her huge smile! I hope for Gary, Glen and Grant that your sadness on your mom’s passing quickly turns to the similar good memories that I have. Thinking of you guys and your families, and wishing you well.
❤️ Brent Walden

To my beautiful and amazing grandma, Thanks for all the great memories, teaching me how to bake, swim and many more. You always had the right things to say and knew what to say when I was upset or feeling down. You had soo much love in your heart and loved to joke around, I will never forget all the great laughs we shared. You always gave the best hugs. I’m so glad I got to say goodbye and be there in your final days. R.I.P love you, miss you like crazy

Diana,
My heart is broken. I have so many wonderful memories of us all at the cottage growing up. My favourite has to be when you showed us all up when you were 60 yrs old and you water skied better than any of us. Our laughs at Laura’s stag. All the fun games we played and your total generosity to make it happen. I miss our many late night calls, our secrets and sharing. You were always like a second mother to me. You truly are going to be missed. I hope you will be dancing in the sky, out of pain and looking down on all of us. RIP
Glen, Grant, Gary and families , my deepest condolences . Your mother was one of the greatest ladies on earth, and I loved her deeply.
