Rod was a client of mine and became a great friend.
I enjoyed the time spent with him, Joanne and the kids.
Although we did lose touch several years ago, I would often think about him with fondest memories.
My sincerest condolences.
Mike

My sincere sympathies Ross, Elaine, Scott and family. I was so sad to hear of the passing of Rodney. My lifelong friend. What wonderful memories I have of us growing up together in this great little town. Whether it was on the tire swing at his Grandma's two doors down, bringing LP's in to play on his Grandma's record player (I remember Grand Funk Railroad and BTO!) and she would shake her head at our choice of music, school dances, fort building, playing hide and seek, coming to Richmond Hill, going to the cottage...so many great times. He will be sadly missed. Fly free Rodney...until we meet again. I will never forget you.

We were friends in huatulco before becoming neighbours, went through lockdown and many nights of series watching and day time drummed up adventures. Always being on a whim and with calm Minus and I are blessed to have known our father figure. Rod truly was a caring man. Our warmest regards to the family and friends , we send our condolences from his Mexico extended family to you. Forever in our hearts

Rod was full of adventure. His stories made for great campfires and his nighttime boat rides where something I had never experienced or would not trust doing with anyone else. His heart was always on or near the water on Beachwood island in Gloucester Pool or in Mexico. He took me in to his home where I lived with Rod, Joanne and family for many years and I am so great full. Taken to soon, I know that Rod was never the same after he lost his wife Joanne and now can be united again with her. Thank you for all the memories, we love you and will miss you. Rest In Peace

Dad the Rod Ross.... he was many things and many words and feelings.
I did not get the privilege to know him long, but the moments and seasons I did know him and times that I spent with him and his amazing dedicated daughter Britney... they were great.
He was the man who taught me about may flies....one warm morning we woke up at the cottage together, no one else awake... we sat on an old swing bench he use to share with his kids when they were younger...he taught me about the mist, the lake sounds...and the beauty of nature when it sings so early in the morning.
He was a kind understanding man.... a man who wanted to help others (just like Britney).
Every time when he would take us out on the boat, I always felt safe.. at home... and welcomed.
He had great taste, an amazing heart... and an unforgettable personality.
To you Ross. Xox

Dear Family...agree Rodney was giver. He held onto friendships from years gone by cause he knew the value of true friends. He was funny, witty and most of all, straight up kinda guy. We regret not taking him up on his offer to join him in huatulco. He loved it there. Rest in peace friend. Diane Vanderkooy
