Obituary of Jim Collins

Passed away peacefully with his family at his side, at the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Tuesday July 19, 2022 at the age of 88, formerly of Coldwater. 

Beloved husband of the late Marie (nee MacKinnon).  Loved father of Debbie Burke (late Paul), Alan Collins (Cindy), and Carol Smith (Brian).  Loving grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  

The family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Soldiers’ 1, and to Pastor John Giurin for their care and support.   

Jim has requested to be cremated and there will be no visitation or service.  A family graveside service will be held at the Bethel Lunau Cemetery, Markham.

As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society and may be made through the funeral home.
