We are saddened by the passing of Darlene.
She was affectionately called Dolly by her father and siblings.
When meeting Darlene you could count on being teased, get a little poke in the arm and have a laugh.
It heartens us to imagine the family reunion on the other side, embraced by her loved ones who have gone on.
Our sincere condolences to Darlene's brothers and friends,
Sharon and Danny O'Connor

Sincerest condolences. Sandy and I both have fond memories of our visits “north” to spend time with mom’s family when we were growing up. Aunt Darlene was a big part of that. She always had a smile for everyone and was so integral to all of the family events and activities. Even though we haven’t been up for a visit in a long time (what living further north for 35 years will do) we know she will be missed

So sad to have lost her.
My mother Mary was the oldest, and Darlene was the youngest of a big wonderful Coldwater family.
When I was a child .. Darlene was an Aunt that was a mere 5 yrs older than me. She was my friend and taught me many valuable life lessons.
Despite her hearing handicap .. we communicated beautifully. She had a job “setting up pins “ at the bowling alley, and I often tagged along. On many occasions I was also allowed to observe her working alongside Ken Jennings at Coldwater Printing, and realized how intelligent and industrious an employee she was.
As I got older, and my participation in family visits seemed to wane, when Darlene and I DID see each other, there was always hearty laughs and remembrances of many happy times together.
I’ll forever remember her gentle manner, her huge meaningful smile, and her love of all living things.
She did not have an easy life, but you’d never know. She was an Angel among us.
I’m sad she is gone. I’m glad to have known someone as special as she.
Thank You Aunt Darlene. One in a million.
Karen

I am a friend of the Beach family and I've been writing a short story about Darlene's life. I'll email it to you if you would like. I didn't know that she worked at the bowling alley so I'll add this to her story if you don't mind. I would need your email address if you're interested. Mine is: laraine@amtelecom.net Thank you.

Our family will really miss Darlene. She has been an important part of our lives for the past fourteen years. Darlene would often stop by just to say hello and have a chat.
She took excellent care of our dogs and cats over the years. They all loved her. We always knew that they were in good hands.
Our sincere condolences to the Beach family. Darlene will truly be missed. May she rest peacefully.
Jenifer, Keven and all the fury faces

To the Beach family:
Darlene was my seat buddy in primary school. She was quiet and shy then. Her hard work at Ken Jennings printing proved what a smart girl she was. As she grew older she never missed a chance to talk or ask how the family was doing. Her love for her family and her fur babies knew no bounds. Your family is going to miss her. An other angel from Coldwater to look over us.
