Dear Joy, It was with great sadness that I learned of Sam's passing. Although a long time ago, I have fond memories of the four of us sharing time together. I remember a New Years at your cottage and the Polar Bear dip in the lake. And I remember your's and Sam's warm hospitality and wonderful sense of humour. Dear Joy, Amanda, Sean & Natalie..it is with heartfelt sadness that I heard of Sam's passing.Over the years Sam and I had many conversations. We both shared the same beliefs about most political and business situations. We both also shared our love of dogs. I remember well his funny stories when you had a Great Dane, Bouvier & Yorky terrier.Sam would tell how the tiny Yorkie was the boss of the house.I will sadly miss our talks very much. Sam is my friend. I run a small computer company near Sam's former home in Mono and have had the pleasure of knowing Sam's family for many years now helping Sam with his computer needs. I can't think of any other client who has made such an impact on me as a friend because you see, Sam wasn't afraid to make a new friend and boy did he know how to make someone feel welcome! I can't say enough how grateful I am for knowing him, Sam insisted on visits to his home and he and Joy would take really good care of me and my family. Always a great host and story-teller Sam obviously took great satisfaction hosting his friends and I know his friendship is remembered and highly valued. I am very sad for Joy, Sean, Mandy and family but I am also sad for Sam's friends because I was lucky enough to be one of them... One thing I can think of is that the poor guy won't have to be in pain any more and my only last words to you Sam would have been "Thank-You Friend, I had a great time with you, Goodbye Kiddo" Rest in Peace Sam.
