Obituary of A. Douglas Bidmead
With broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Doug Bidmead of Oro-Medonte on Friday January 13, 2023.
Much loved husband of Betty (nee Austin) for 57 years. Devoted father of Bradley and Kerri Bidmead, Cheryl and Tony Malone and the late Leonard Bidmead (2019). Precious grandpa for Beth McInnes, Hudson and Capri Malone, and Hunter and Skylar Bidmead. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Margaret, and by his brothers Don and Bill.
Owner / Operator of A. Douglas Bidmead Trucking & Excavating for 48 years. Doug was an honest, hard-working, greatly respected, dependable man who enjoyed his chosen profession, always with a smile on his face.
An elder of his church for many years. A man of character, a man of faith and a man of strength.
Dedicated to his family. He will be missed like no other.
The family will honour his life with a visitation at the Coldwater Funeral Home, Coldwater on Wednesday January 18th from 6-8pm and at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Coldwater on Thursday January 19th from 1pm until the time of service at 2pm. Spring Interment Coldwater Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Doug may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Coldwater, Parkinson Canada or the Canadian Lung Association and may be made through the funeral home.
